It was a night to remember for Windber Junior High football as they crushed Berlin 48-0 on 8th Grade Recognition Night. The Rambler fans filled the stands to honor the 8th-grade players, and the team responded with an all-around dominant performance on the field.
From the opening whistle, Windber took control. Their offense, led by quarterback
Tyler Tallyen, came out firing, scoring on the first drive with a 30-yard touchdown run by Ike Serenko. That set the tone for a game in which Windber's ground attack was unstoppable.
Trey Tallion and Braedyn Cheskiewicz each added multiple touchdowns, as the offensive line created huge running lanes all night.
Defensively, Windber was a brick wall. Berlin struggled to move the ball past midfield, and Windber's defense came up with several big stops, including a fumble recovery and an interception.
With this win, Windber's junior high team continues to build on an impressive season, leaving the crowd—and especially the 8th graders—celebrating a night they'll never forget.
