Senior Night Thriller: Windber Girls Edge Portage 51–48 Behind Clutch Triple

On a night filled with emotion and celebration, the Windber Varsity Girls Basketball team gave their seniors a finish they'll never forget, edging Portage 51–48 in a thrilling Senior Night victory.

With the gym buzzing and the crowd on its feet, the Ramblers and Mustangs battled back and forth all game. Every possession mattered late in the fourth quarter, and Windber needed a spark. With just five minutes remaining, Autumn Walz stepped up in the biggest moment. She buried a clutch three-pointer — three of her 14 points on the night — swinging the momentum and energizing the entire gym. From there, the Ramblers refused to let go.

Kaylie Gaye led the scoring charge with 16 tough points, attacking the basket and keeping Windber steady under pressure. Rylee Baer filled the stat sheet with nine points and four assists, controlling the pace and setting up teammates when it mattered most.

As the final buzzer sounded, the scoreboard read 51–48, and the celebration began. Teammates rushed the floor, seniors hugged their families, and the Ramblers closed Senior Night with a hard-fought win that perfectly captured their heart, grit, and teamwork. It was a performance worthy of the moment — and a memory that will last long after the season ends.
