Ramblers Shine at Championship Meets

The Windber Varsity Track & Field teams delivered an unforgettable week of performances at the ICC Championship Meet and the Altoona Invitational, showcasing the hard work and determination of Rambler athletes.

At the ICC Championships, several Windber athletes captured conference titles. Alayna Shuster raced to gold in the 300-meter hurdles, while Sophia Weyant claimed the championship in the 3200-meter run. In the field events, Pacey Oyler soared to a first-place finish in the pole vault while setting a new school record with a vault of 10'6".

The success continued in the relay events as the girls 3200-meter relay team of Rachel Russo, Autumn Walz, Mason Oyler, and Sophia Weyant earned a championship victory. The boys 400-meter relay team of Dereck Prince, Tyler Tallyen, Xavier Staley, and Kennan Klosky also sprinted to a first-place finish to bring home more gold for the Ramblers.

At the Altoona Invitational, Sophia Weyant added another incredible accomplishment by breaking both the Windber school records in the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs.

It was a remarkable week for Windber Track & Field and another example of Rambler athletes competing at the highest level.
