Following their initial setback of the season against North Star in Week 5, Windber swiftly regained their momentum. R.J. Tallion led the charge, rushing for an impressive 131 yards and securing four touchdowns on 25 carries, propelling Windber to a commanding 37-7 victory over Uniontown in a non-conference matchup on Friday.
Expressing his pride in the team's performance, Windber coach Matt Grohal remarked, "I'm incredibly proud of my team tonight. We faced an abundance of challenges this week, dealing with numerous injuries. Moreover, our bus encountered a breakdown on Ligonier Mountain, redirecting us to Laurel Highlands High School instead of Uniontown. With only 20 minutes for warmups, we demonstrated remarkable precision tonight, executing with a playbook equivalent to that of a fourth-grade level. The players who stepped in showcased outstanding performances."
