The Windber Varsity Volleyball team delivered a stunning 3-0 victory against third-seeded Tussey Mountain on Thursday night in a crucial playoff game at Tussey Mountain High School. The Ramblers executed a near-perfect game plan to sweep the Titans with scores of 25-22, 25-11, and 25-14.

In the first set, the Titans came out strong, but Windber's relentless energy and clutch play allowed them to edge out a 25-22 win. Riding the momentum, the Ramblers dominated the second set 25-11, shutting down the Titans' attack with excellent defense and precise serves. In the final set, Windber maintained its focus and composure to close out the match 25-14, sealing a major upset.

Leading the Ramblers' offense, Liliana Grillo was a standout, dishing out an impressive 47 assists, racking up 18 service points, and contributing six key kills. Maggie Manippo shined on both ends of the court, recording 15 service points, 13 digs, and seven kills. Summer Campbell added another layer of pressure on the Titans with 12 service points and seven kills of her own, while Skylee Miller anchored the defense with 17 digs and 12 service points.

The combined efforts of Autumn Walz and Camryn Brady also played a significant role, scoring 16 points and eight kills between them. Their consistency and teamwork were critical in keeping the Titans on the back foot throughout the match.

The victory propels Windber to the next round, where they hope to continue their playoff run and build on the momentum of this memorable upset. Windber travels to second seed Conemaugh Township on Monday.
